meaning identifying artists and song titles.

I was at a dance in Novemeber (yeah a long time ago, but the comment has been bugging me for a few days so I’m tumblin’) and my date kept and I would talk about the songs that were playing. He didn’t really know any of the artists or the songs, but I did. After correctly naming “Cable Car” by The Fray, he said “wow you really know your stuff.” or something like that.

Other artists’ songs I got right:

• Maroon 5
• Lady Gaga
• Katy Perry
• Enrique Iglesias
• The Beatles
• other songs that are usually really over played or that have been around forever

Hence the reason I was able to name them. Or if they sung it on Glee. I’ve never really considered myself any good at the song game. I have a friend who is SO GOOOD at this game that I can never even come close to her level. Of course I can name pretty much every song that plays on my iPod but I only listen to the same 20 or so bands over and over. I was so proud of myself when I got a song/band right the other day that came on shuffle when I haven’t heard it in a very long time. I even named the album it was from.

so anyway, does being able to name all the singles from Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream album make me good at the song game? i don’t think so. Especially since Darren sang pretty much all of them on Glee and I love Darren.
